Why this recruitment?
We are opening a new position in the UI Department of the Microsoft Flight Simulator project.
Why is this a great opportunity?
Because it's an opportunity to contribute directly to a legendary video game license, with a very high standard of quality (+90 Metacritic). You’ll work on one of the most innovative video game productions in which UI is a real challenge. You’ll certainly have a lot to learn.
Your team
You’ll be working with the UI team and you’ll be under the responsibility of Charlotte, Associate Lead UI Artist. You’ll also work in close collaboration with the game designers, the UX designers, and the programmers of the project.
Your mission
- You’ll create designs and animated mock-ups for menus, in-game interfaces or game features from the already existing DA, and you’ll do the integrations
- You’ll create coherent and ergonomic UI
- You’ll resolve readability and ergonomic issues in collaboration with game and UX designers
- You’ll resolve technical and implementation issues in collaboration with programmers
YOUR PROFILE
The fundamentals to succeed in this role
- You have a very good knowledge of Interface Design and Ergonomics
- You are proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD and After Effects
- You have an excellent artistic sense, especially in iconography, typography, and HUD elements
- You monitor new technology
- You have a keen eye for composition, clarity and readability
- You can be versatile in many different artistic styles
- You can adapt your work to a pre-existing style in the respect of constraints
- You are a curious and autonomous person, and you are a very good communicator
The little extras to be even more comfortable in this role
- You have knowledge of JavaScript
- You have a first experience in a video game studio
- You have an interest for the aeronautical area
