THE POSITION
Why are we recruiting?
For a future production, we are looking for a Tools Programmer to strengthen the team behind "A Plague Tale: Requiem" from the pre-production phase.
The team
Within the engine team which consists of 5 people, you will be under the supervision of Nicolas, Lead Engine Programmer. You will also work in collaboration with other departments.
Your mission
- You will improve the game editor and tools of the production pipeline
- In communication with the production teams (narrative, audio, cinematic, VFX etc…), you will take into account feedback and will be able to propose technical solutions
- You will work in close collaboration with your Engine and Gameplay colleagues to find pragmatic solutions adapted to the existing code
- You will also work with your Animator and Level Builder colleagues, who will certainly need to test the last functionalities before deployment to a large number of final users
- You will ensure the support of what you develop via several communication channels (Internal / Chat / Forum)
- You will take part in the drafting of the public documentation of your tools
YOUR PROFILE
Keys to succeed in this role
- You hold a diploma in computer science (engineering school or similar training)
- You have a strong knowledge of C ++
- You have a good level in GUI / GUI development, and are used to using GUI libraries (ImGui / Qt / Wpf / ...)
- You have a very good ability to listen and adapt
- You are sensitive to the well-being of your users, as well as to their satisfaction
- You demonstrate rigor and reliability
- You regularly use version management tools (Perforce / Git / SVN)
- You are comfortable in reading/writing/speaking English
The little extras to be even more comfortable in this role
- You have good knowledge of at least one scripting language (PowerShell, Python, ...)
