Meet our Team #1 - Brice Davin, Kinect Rush Executive Producer...

Hello, I am Brice Davin, Executive Producer at Asobo Studio. I have started to work in the project management in the video game industry for more than ten years now, after having been assistant director on movies and video clips.

Why did you choose to join the video game industry?

I am from the Amstrad and the first Nintendo consoles generation and video games have always been part of my life. So, I naturally started working in video games industry using my organization, time management and team relationship skills learned as Assistant Director on movies.

Tell us about your position at Asobo Studio, what is your role and your daily tasks...

The role of the production team at Asobo Studio is to make sure art and technical directions are respected and understood by the team: having a strong daily communication, schedule and provide tasks, be the point of contact between the client and the studio. To sum up, we help to fluidize the project to allow the team to give its best while respecting our objectives and timelines.

What motivates you in your job and what do you really like?

Being part of more and more ambitious projects! Each new game is a new challenge, taking us to a new level. Increase from 15 people at the beginning of Asobo to 100 today, work on the best worldwide licenses, work with the biggest publisher of the market like Microsoft in 1^st party, research and innovate in the last technologies like Kinect!

What is your best souvenir from a development at Asobo Studio?

Without any doubts: FUEL. This is not a "perfect game", but its outrageousness, its ambition and madness made it very exalting for all the team, in spite of his extreme difficulty. Every Pixar games we had the chance to produce are also an excellent souvenir: having the opportunity to be in relation with the Pixar Studios is a real happiness, very illuminating.

If you had 3 things to tell us about Bordeaux and its area ?

An amazing and utterly charming city, human-sized, between the sea, the mountains and the good vine!
